Stereo Sound

True stereo sound is presently available to viewers in central Iowa (Channel 11) and in eastern Iowa (Channel 12). IPTV and PBS have been leaders in establishing stereo for public television viewers and each month more and more programs are offered with this feature. All manufacturers are currently offering television sets with built-in stereo circuitry.

From time to time, certain IPTV programs are simulcast in stereo by one or more public FM stations around the state, bringing the opportunity to hear stereo sound to those viewers without stereo televisions.
