I've never used my credit card on the Internet before. How does it work? Is it safe?
The Iowa Public Television Foundation uses the best security and encryption technology available for your protection. The personal and financial information your computer sends us, and that we send back to your computer, must be encrypted while in transit. Encrypted files are scrambled and can only be reassembled by someone who has the correct encryption key. This means that when you send your personal and financial information to us, it is encrypted so that no one else can read it. Your credit card number is never stored unencrypted on our server, and it is only decrypted at the time of its use.

Can I get more than one thank-you gift for my donation?
Yes! If you are interested in more than one gift, please contact our office by telephone at (800) 728-2828 and speak with our Donor Services Department. They can help you get the gifts you’re interested in. Most gifts are, however, not for sale and are available only through your support of Iowa Public Television.
How long does it take to receive my membership thank-you gift?
On average, you will receive your thank-you gift eight to ten weeks after your pledge payment is processed. If it has been longer than this, please contact us at email@example.com or call us at (515) 242-5400 or (800) 728-2828.
I just sent you my renewal check. Why did I receive another renewal letter?
To save money for the quality programming you expect from Iowa Public Television, we print and send out renewal notices in bulk. This means that it takes a few weeks for a renewal letter to get to you. As a result, your renewal gift and our letter probably crossed in the mail.
When does my membership expire?
Membership in Friends of IPTV is on a calendar year basis (January-December). Your membership is up for renewal in January of each year.

Why did I get this mail when I'm already a member?
Because only a small percent of our viewers and listeners support Friends of IPTV with a contribution, acquiring new members is an important part of securing IPTV’s future. In order to reach people who haven't already joined, we use other organizations’ mailing lists. We make every effort to screen these lists, but sometimes a member's name slips through. If this happens to you, please become our partner in this effort by passing the invitation to contribute along to someone who also values our programs and services. If you have any questions about whether your membership is still active, please email us by using the Contact Us form.
Does IPTV exchange my mailing address?
To expand our membership base and increase support for our programs, we periodically exchange some of our donors' names and addresses with other non-profit educational, cultural and social service organizations in the communities we serve. If you would prefer that your name and address be excluded from these exchanges, please email us by using the Contact Us form or writing to Friends of IPTV, PO Box 6400, Johnston, IA 50131.
Why did I get two program guides?
If you mistakenly receive two copies of Advance or any of our mailings, you may be on our mailing list twice. Please send us the address labels from both copies and we will merge the two listings. Or send an email by using the Contact Us form.
