Summer Stories & More ICN sessions are correlated with the national summer reading program. The theme for 2013 is Dig Into Reading. Sessions consist of a story read aloud, a professional guest presenter, and an activity. Each week is a new topic and several opportunities to participate.

THIS WEEK

Digging Up Trouble

Karen Schaeffer, playwrite and actress with the Des Monies Playhouse will join us with her original spin on Three Billy Goats Gruff. The session will be based on The Playhouse's Friday Funday experience for kids, complete with a secret handshake, pledge, and a few other theater influences.

Join us to see what sort of trouble Karen and the Three Billy Goats can dig up!

The activity this week will be emailed to you prior to the session. Other materials include crayons/markers and scissors.

Confirmed registrants receive a free fairy tale book pack including Max the Stubborn Little Wolf and Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

Sessions are provided at no cost by Iowa Public Television in collaboration with the Iowa Communications Network to PK-12 students and the adults working with or on behalf of PK-12 students in Iowa. If you are not employed by a school district or an AEA please register at library sites only.
