Subject Areas:
    Careers/Vocational Education
    Mathematics
    Science
    Technology

This career professional was fascinated by mystery books and court TV before she went to college. She is also very interested in science. Put those two things together and you have the groundwork for a person who is a perfect fit for a career in forensics.

Join this session to hear from someone who works for the state crime lab. Part of her time is devoted to analyzing illegal drugs and the other to doing crime scene investigations in rural Iowa. She has also worked for the DEA and brought that experience to her current job.

During this session she will talk to your students about what she does on a daily basis and her education. She’ll share information about fields of study and degrees required to land a job like hers. She plans to bring some pictures and tools from her work so this should be a fun and informative session!

This is a great career exploration opportunity for your students who are interested in science and an exciting career.
