Iowa Outdoors is a new series produced by Iowa Public Television in partnership with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that highlights outdoor recreation, environmental issues, conservation initiatives, and Iowa's outdoor natural resources.
Scott is a native of Mount Carmel, Iowa and graduate of Carroll High School. He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Iowa State University in in 2005. Scott is a regular in dozens of plays, numerous commercials, and a handful of films including Valentine Road - a prohibition era miniseries about bootlegging in Iowa. When not on stage or acting in film projects, he enjoys the frustrating game of golf.
Kellie is originally from southwestern Indiana, but has happily called Des Moines home since 2002. Having earned a BA in theatre and psychology from Franklin College, she spends most of her free time performing in area plays and musicals. Kellie is an avid genealogist, but also enjoys designing jewelry, knitting, learning the ukulele, and going in search of off-beat roadside attractions.
Amanda, host from Season One, is an Ankeny, Iowa native. Having earned a B.A. in Performing Arts from Iowa State University, Amanda spends much of her time acting in local and regional plays. Her favorite outdoor activity is canoeing Iowa's rivers and streams but dog sledding for Iowa Outdoors is a close second.
