Assignment Iowa to Examine Heart Health in New Episode Monday, February 12

On the next Assignment Iowa, host Todd Mundt examines matters of the heart – the physical and the mental aspects of heart health. Viewers will hear from experts in the fields of wellness, nutrition, and medical science to learn ways to better combat heart disease.

This new episode, which debuts February 12 at 6:30 p.m., also features an interview with ISU and NBA basketball star Fred Hoiberg. The discovery of a serious heart ailment put an abrupt end to his basketball career, and open-heart surgery repaired a problem with his aortic valve. Viewers will hear from Hoiberg about his recovery and life after surgery.

Assignment Iowa can be seen on statewide Iowa Public Television February 12 at 6:30 p.m., and again on February 14 at 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Following the broadcast, viewers can see an extended interview with Hoiberg and more on the Assignment Iowa Web site at www.iptv.org/assignmentiowa.
