LIVE Call-In Flood Recovery Program THURSDAY

Live Flood Recovery Call-In Show:

On the Thursday, September 11 edition of The Iowa Journal

(Johnston, Iowa) – As the water recedes and the financial toll mounts, many Iowans afflicted by the floods of ’08 are looking for answers. The Governor’s Task Force on Disaster Relief will address their concerns during a live episode of The Iowa Journal on Thursday, September 11 at 8:30 p.m. on statewide Iowa Public Television. It will be simulcast on IPTV HD and also be available online at Iptv.org.

Viewers will be encouraged to call in during the program with questions regarding recovery and rebuilding following this summer’s natural disasters.

Members of the panel include: Lt. Governor Patty Judge, chair of the Rebuild Iowa Task Force; Mark Wandro, Rebuild Iowa Advisory Commission (RIAC) member and co-chair of the Infrastructure and Transportation Task Force; Karen Hyatt, Iowa DHS, an expert on disaster stresses and mental health; and Bill Vogel, FEMA, federal coordinating officer for the Iowa disaster recovery.
