(Johnston, Iowa) -- On Sunday, April 1 at 9 p.m. Iowa Public Television will broadcast America’s Lost Landscape: The Tallgrass Prairie. America’s Lost Landscape: The Tallgrass Prairie premiered on Iowa Public Television in March 2005. On April 1 the program makes its national broadcast debut on PBS.
The documentary tells the fascinating story of the transformation of the American prairie through ecology, culture, and the agricultural revolution. The transformation of the prairie in a short period of time in history has been dramatic, and the film seeks to document that change while educating viewers about its impact.
In addition to broadcast on IPTV’s traditional service, the film will be simulcast on IPTV-Digital channels around the state, and will be seen on the network’s digital program schedule several times in April.
