Television Foundation Announces
New Board Members
Bill Tubbs of Eldridge Selected for
Three-Year Term on Network’s Foundation Board
(Johnston,
Iowa) -- The Iowa Public Television Foundation is
pleased to announce that Eldridge resident Bill Tubbs will serve a three-year
term on the Iowa Public Television Foundation Board.
Tubbs is the publisher of the North Scott Press and the Wilton-Durant Advocate.
As a member of the Board, Tubbs will
provide advice and counsel to the Iowa Public Television Foundation on issues
related to fundraising, strategic planning, and other issues important to the
Foundation. The Iowa Public Television Foundation oversees individual giving,
major and planned giving, and corporate underwriting.
The Foundation is committed to the
development, growth, and support of Iowa Public Television through the building
of a strong statewide membership base, and through support from the state’s
business community. More than 70,000 Iowans are members of Friends of Iowa
Public Television, and nearly 90 percent of the cost of program production and
acquisition comes from these members.
