IPTV Gives Viewers the Opportunity for Great
Seats at Area Performances

Viewers who pledge can receive tickets to concerts by André Rieu and
the Blue Man Group as Thank-You Gifts

 (Johnston, Iowa)  -- On Thursday, August 2, Iowa Public Television will present two special programs, and will offer viewers who pledge the opportunity to receive great seats to local concerts featuring the stars of those programs.

            At 7 p.m. Thursday, viewers can tune in for André Rieu: Radio City Music Hall: Live in New York City to be wowed and entertained by the maestro and his Johann Strauss Orchestra. Rieu will also be joined in this television special by the Harlem Gospel Choir. Viewers enjoying the program will be invited to pledge to support Iowa Public Television programming. As a thank-you gift for certain levels of giving, viewers can receive tickets for great seats to Rieu’s concert in Des Moines on Friday, October 19.

            Also on Thursday, at 8 p.m., viewers won’t want to miss Blue Man Group: Inside the Tube. In this visually amazing program, the founders of the Blue Man Group discuss their journey from building drums and tube instruments in a living room to creating one of the most popular shows in Las Vegas. As a thank-you gift for pledging at certain levels during this program, viewers can receive tickets to see the Blue Man Group live in concert in Moline, Illinois on Friday, October 19, or in Des Moines on Saturday, October 20.

            These programs will be broadcast at other times throughout the month of August, as well. Additional dates are:

André Rieu at Royal Albert Hall – Sunday, August 26 at 2 p.m.

            André Rieu: Radio City Music Hall: Live in New York City – Sunday, August 26 at 3 p.m.

Blue Man Group: Inside the Tube – Monday, August 6 at 9 p.m. &
         Sunday, August 26 at 4:30 p.m.
