Simple Pleasures Profiles Unique Places to Visit in Iowa
New IPTV special showcases places to dine and visit with host Dan Kaercher
(Johnston, Iowa) -- Iowa Public Television continues the network’s tradition of showcasing what’s best about Iowa with the premiere of a new special, Iowa’s Simple Pleasures. The program, hosted by Dan Kaercher, debuts on statewide Iowa Public Television Monday, March 15 at 8 p.m.
Kaercher, founding editor-in-chief of Midwest Living magazine and host of previous IPTV travel programs, traveled the state in search of fun things for Iowans to do, see, and taste here in Iowa. The result: profiles of Iowa treasures that aren’t necessarily well-known outside their own local areas, but with much to offer visitors. Iowans will find many of these activities easy to enjoy on a budget. The special features highlights from an upcoming series of the same name.
Attractions featured in the special are:
- King’s Pointe Resort & other attractions – Storm Lake
- Blank Park Zoo – Des Moines
- Café Dodici – Washington
- Wabash Trace Nature Trail – Southwest Iowa
- The Irish Shanti – Gunder
- Rock ‘n’ Row Adventures – Eldora
- Pilot Knob State Park – Winnebago County
