Iowans Grew Up On Debuts Sunday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
(Johnston, Iowa) -- As a state that gives education a high priority, Iowa’s television stations have offered a variety of educational children’s programming for generations. This March, Iowa Public Television showcases some of the best locally produced children’s programming with TV Iowans Grew Up On.
Starting in the 1950s and continuing well into the 1990s, young Iowans were educated and entertained by the antics of Dr. Max & Mombo, Betty Lou and her Magic Window, and Duane Ellett and Floppy. This special features interviews, clips, and behind-the-scenes stories from these favorites and more. TV Iowans Grew Up On debuts Sunday, March 14 at 7 p.m. on statewide Iowa Public Television.
