Iowa Public Television Celebrates Iowa Talent with

2011 Iowa Jazz Championships

 

(Johnston, Iowa)  -- As part of the network’s commitment to showcasing talented Iowans, statewide Iowa Public Television will broadcast exclusive coverage of the 2011 Iowa Jazz Championships Monday, May 2 – Thursday, May 5 at 6:30 p.m.

            The complete line-up of championship performances is listed below:

·         Monday, May 2: Class 1A (North Mahaska High School and Southern Cal High School)

·         Tuesday, May 3: Class 2A (Rock Valley High School and Okoboji High School)

·         Wednesday, May 4: Class 3A (Harlan Community High School and Independence High School)

·         Thursday, May 5: Class 4A (West Des Moines Valley High School and Iowa City West High School)

Support for the broadcast of the 2011 Iowa High School Jazz Championships has been provided by Musco Lighting, MidAmerican Energy, Iowa Network Services, and Friends of Iowa Public Television.
