The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – Upper Midwest Chapter recently awarded the Iowa Public Television staff with Regional Emmy Awards for Iowans Remember 9/11 and Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan. 

IPTV staff members involved in Iowans Remember 9/11 include: Duane Huey, Judy Blank, Andrea Coyle, David Miller, David Feingold, Neal Kyer, Julie Knutson, Chad Aubrey, Rick Fuller, John Torpy, Steve Carns, Philip Blobaum, Scott Faine, Chris Gourley, Jim Leasure, and Russ Wall.

Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan was produced in partnership with The Des Moines Register. IPTV staff members involved in this project were: David Miller, John Nichols, John Torpy, Philip Blobaum, Neal Kyer, Jim Leasure, Joe Bustad, Josh Buettner, Gretchen Watson, and Tiffany Cleghorn. Tony Leys, Rodney White, Peter Shinn, and J. Winkowski provided reporting and video from Afghanistan for the program.
