Iowa Public Television’s Dan Wardell to Visit 68 Iowa Libraries During the Eighth Annual Reading Road Trip Tour

June 20, 2014

WHO:

Dan Wardell, popular host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse, will travel to 68 local communities this summer as part of the eighth annual Reading Road Trip Tour.

WHAT:

IPTV’s Reading Road Trip Tour features an original, interactive story that is connected to this year’s summer library reading theme: Fizz! Boom! Read! Each year, Dan’s story time encourages kids to do something you might not expect from a television personality: turn the TV off, go outside and play, eat healthy snacks, use your imagination and read a good book. Every child who comes to story time will receive a special gift.

In addition to the scheduled story times at libraries across Iowa, Wardell will keep an online journal of his fun on the Reading Road Trip Tour with pictures, an interactive map, video and more. Families can follow Dan online at Iptv.org/dantastic or on Facebook at IPTV KIDS Clubhouse.
