"We’re pleased to expand these Ready for School Learning Centers to another location in Iowa,” said Terry Rinehart, director of Educational Services at Iowa Public Television. “With this Learning Center, families can spend time together reading books, watching excellent children’s programs that support early reading skills like recognizing letters and sounds, and learning additional ways to have fun together while waiting to see a health professional.”

“The Community Health Centers of Louisa County are excited to be a part of the IPTV and Ready for School Learning Center,” said Liz Hinkle, Patient Care Manager. “We proudly focus on establishing a healthcare relationship with our patients and this is just another opportunity to be a part of an educational experience we can offer to the community. This is a big chance for parents of young children to nurture, encourage and promote reading and education with their child while they wait to see their healthcare provider.”

"We appreciate the Learning Center provided by Iowa Public Television,” said Joy Lekwa, Director of Colonel's Kids Preschool. “We will make excellent use of this resource!"

"IPTV has proven their amazing commitment to the young learners of Iowa through their consistent generosity and have lived up to their mission statement of educating, and enriching the lives of Iowans,” said Beth Hills-Carrier, educator at Great Beginnings Preschool.

The IPTV Learning Centers are part of Iowa Public Television’s Ready for School initiative which works with Iowa communities’ efforts to help strengthen the math and literacy skills of children ages 2-8. Learn more at Iptv.org/readyforschool.
