School Safety and Emergency Preparedness (#4012)

Mark Schouten (Iowa Homeland Security Administrator), Tom Downs (Iowa Association of School Boards Executive Director), and Jon Thompson (Aplington-Parkersburg Superintendent) are the guests on the next Iowa Press. They will discuss school safety and emergency preparedness in the wake of the school shooting in Connecticut.

This program will be broadcast Friday, December 21 at 8 p.m. (please note special broadcast time) on Iowa Public Television. The program will also be broadcast on IPTV WORLD (.3) Saturday, December 22 at 8:30 a.m., and at noon Sunday, December 30. Iowa Press will be available online beginning Friday evening at www.iptv.org.

Joining these guests at the Iowa Press table are moderator Dean Borg; Kay Henderson, news director for Radio Iowa; and James Q. Lynch of The Gazette in Cedar Rapids.
