Pacific Heartbeat

Splinters (#401)

Set in a small seaside village in the developing nation of Papua New Guinea, SPLINTERS follows a group of men and women as they compete for a spot on the National Surfing team. With no access to economic or educational advancement, let alone running water and power, village life is hermetic. With the national spotlight now on them, traditional cultural norms of village life are challenged. A spot on the team is the way to see the wider world; the only way. Who will make it?
