Paul Yeager interviews Kathryn Koob, hostage taken in Iran in 1979.

On occasion, the captors would put the prisoners in front of a camera and ask them questions. This was an effort build some propaganda. Koob and Swift realized they were being used.

In 1979, Koob was the director of the Iran-American cultural center. While there, she was abducted and held hostage in Tehran for the 444 days by Iranian students. She has chronicled her life in a book called "Guest of the Revolution" and is now an instructor at Wartburg College in Waverly.
